Comtest Laboratories began as the test house for the Australian Government’s Telecommunications department “Telecom”, and assessed the compliance of all telephony products including transmission, protocol and safety standards for terminal, data and PABX equipment.

Peter Arms - Director. Peter has been involved in the telecommunications industry for over 40 years, and when Comtest separated from Telstra, Peter became the Technical Director of Comtest Laboratories Pty Ltd.

Greg Caspar - Director Greg has been involved with the telecommunications industry since 1970, and when Comtest became a private company, Greg joined the new organisation as the Business Director.

Comtest is pleased to announce that we are now certified by NATA to conduct approval testing for AS/NZS 60335.2.23 Appliances for skin or hair care, but limited to fixed hand dryers only, including tests to IPX4 . With this new accreditation Comtest can provide unparalleled compliance assessment services, to ensure your product available on the market sooner.

The National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia (NATA) provides a foundation for confidence in Australia's calibration, testing, and inspection activities. NATA technical auditing (accreditation) also underpins the certification of a range of products and services.
